Black Angus Herd Sires

These Black Angus cattle are not "show" cattle; they work for a living. Commercial cattle operators and cattle producers need efficient cattle that return premiums. With the data we’ve collected and the herd bulls selected, we’re confident our genetics will earn premiums.

Herd sires for our program must:
  • Have an outcross pedigree to the majority of our herd
  • Have a low to moderate birth weight
  • Have above-average weaning weight and yearling weight of his contemporaries
  • Be above the average of his contemporaries in ultrasound rib eye and marbling
  • Exhibit signs of easy fleshing ability and superior phenotype
  • Stress maternal traits
